what happens if snowboard is too big or small?
Q. I got my ideal snowboard size from one of those online calculators, but what happens if I buy a board that's too large or small for me? How far away from my ideal size can I safely go? I'm planning on buying a used board and looking for more options than what's available in my exact size.

A. there's no right or wrong "size" per say...the recommended size is designed so that the right board will distribute your body weight over the right amount of surface area for optimal speed, performance, and handling. You can fluctuate and if you get one too small you just won't go as fast, and your handling might be a little too tight, where as too long is the exact opposite, you'll go a lot faster, but handling will be harder on your legs. the one thing you must have correct however is the wide of the board...make sure you have no over-hang but also make sure it's not too wide otherwise you will not have a good experience and end up sitting down the entire time.
