What should I ask potential boarders?
Q. We have a spare room in our home that we're planning to rent as room and board. What kinds of questions should I ask potential boarders?

A. first i would check sex offender list on internet. I would ask for at least 3 character references. when you see the list if it is not reputable type of people such as boss, pastor, previous person lived with. If it just friends you know they will say whatever. I would ask type of employement, I mean would it be acceptable for them to do anything for a living. Do they have there own transportation or a good reliable means to get themselves around. And when you say room and board, are you gonna have shared meals, common area to hang out. Are they gonna expect included all the luxuries of being a home owner and if so be sure they price is enough for you to put up with. Such as sharing toothbrush holders, them receiving free internet access,… [cont.]
